All students at Göttingen University get a studIT account and a password together with their student ID at the chip card issue point. With this account you can log in on every computer at our locations. Mostly the account is composed of your first and last name (firstname.lastname) and a password.

You have received your password and a PIN/TAN list on a supplementary sheet in combination with your student ID (“chip card”). After your first login we strongly recommend to change your password immediately to a personal password at the self-service functions. Please make sure that your password is safe, e.g. by using additional characters and numbers.
